Dalmatian Bolero

Geoffrey Beene black satin shrug with floral appliqué and dalmation lining
Geoffrey Beene cotton dress made with an exclusive Gandini silkscreened print.
Mr. Beene often would look for unusual cotton prints for his spring/summer offerings. This one, I think, is from Gandini Tessuti Alta Moda, a fabric supplier to many of the European couturiers. Suzy Gandini’s offices are in Milan; Mr. Beene bought fabric from them for many many years. Gandini is not a mill, but gets exclusive fabric designs from fine mills from Europe. While this fabric was indeed a cotton print, it was printed by hand using a number of passes of silkscreen.Russell Nardozza, Senior Vice President of Geoffrey Beene, LLC
